Radio frequency (skin tightening) is a safe and non-invasive treatment that can help the appearance of sagging skin around the face and on the body. Radio frequency has an immediate effect by treating the targeted area with controlled heat. This allows the fat tissue to reach to optimal temperatures faster, tightening the framework of the skin by contraction of the collagen fibres and tissue retraction consequently assisting in remodelling and rejuvenation. Cellulite and stretch marks are also improved by increasing blood flow to the targeted area and promoting the breakdown of fat cells. Once the fat cells begin to break down, oxygen molecules are produced, allowing the cells to melt and drain through the lymphatic system aiding the re-absorption and drainage of fatty deposits and retained fluids. Clients will be advised at the time of the consultation how many treatments are needed per treatment area.

Pre / Post Care

How does it work?

Radio Frequency energy penetrates the skin layers to selectively heat the skin tissue that causes an immediate contraction of collagen fibres, and at the same time increases the metabolism of the fibroblasts thereby accelerating the production of new collagen and elastin fibres.

Is it permanent?

The results are not permanent and require a maintenance treatment.

How many treatments will I require?

A recommended course involves 6 – 8 sessions. A maintenance programme will then be required every 1 – 2 months.

Are there any side effects and is it painful?

The treatment involves heating up the skin which results in slight redness which subsides within 1 – 2 hours although can persist for up to 12 hours.

Is everyone suitable for this treatment?

The treatment is suitable for anyone requiring toning or tightening of their skin. It is not recommended for pregnant women or those breast feeding and a consultation is required prior to all treatments.
