The Ultrasound Caviation treatment uses scientifically proven non-invasive technology to break down unwanted fat.

The ultrasound wave mechanically disrupts the cell membrane of the fat cell selectively targets fat cells in the chosen body area without harming the skin or surrounding tissue.  Vibration waves from the cavitation treatment causes the fat cell to break down very quickly, as it cannot cope with this disruption to the area. These broken cells then release the triglycerides into the interstitial space in-between the cells, where they are enzymatically changed into free fatty acid and glycerol.

FAQ

How does the treatment work?

Cavitation uses ultrasound waves, which agitate the fat cell membranes until they rupture. The contents of the fat cell are released, (glycerol and fatty acids) which are then eliminated from the body via the liver and kidneys. There is no necessity to exercise or diet with this treatment – you will still lose inches! Measurements are taken to demonstrate results after the 1st, 4th and final treatment

What happens to the fat?

During the cavitation treatment, the membranes of the fat cells are disrupted. The fat cell content, primarily comprised of triglycerides, is dispersed into the fluid between the cells and then transported through the vascular and lymphatic systems to the liver. The liver makes no distinction between fat coming from the cavitation treatment and fat originating from consumed food. Both are processed by the body’s natural mechanisms.

Who is it for?

This treatment is suitable for both men and women, although not suitable for pregnant women or those breastfeeding. It offers an alternative to patients seeking effective reduction of localized fat deposits without surgery. A full medical history will be taken prior to treatment by our therapist to ensure treatment is suitable.

What body areas are treated?

The caviation  treatment focuses on the abdomen and flanks (love handles) thighs and buttocks.

What results can I expect?

An average of 1-2 cm reduction in circumference can be achieved after a single treatment of Cavitation.

What will I experience during treatment?

The size of the treatment area determines the duration of the session. During treatment, a handheld device delivering ultrasound energy gently glides over the marked area. The majority of treated patients consistently report a painless and comfortable experience.  Clients will generally experience a ‘tweeting’ noise in their ears.

What happens after treatment?

As soon as the session is over, you can immediately resume your daily routine. There is no recuperation period.  Patients are recommended to have a course of 6-8 sessions on a weekly basis.  Patients state that there is no post-treatment pain or discomfort.
